On June 8th, 2012, Food Insurance™ announced a new fundraiser for Homes For Our Troops. Homes For Our Troops is a four star charity that provides specially adapted homes to severely wounded soldiers. These homes are customized so that everyday chores such as cooking, cleaning and moving about the home are made easy for those service men and women who have lost and had severely damaged limbs while on active duty.
This fundraiser, that was hosted on the Food Insurance™ Facebook page, lasted until July 4th, 2012. During that time Food Insurance™ committed to donate $1 to HFOT for each new “like” the page received. Food Insurance™’s Facebook fans responded by spreading the word and encouraging their friends to support the fundraiser. The response was phenomenal and together we raised $3,051 for Homes For Our Troops.
