I’ve been able to keep iceberg letutce crisp for 2 weeks by: removing the core (hit the core against kitchen sink it will loosen up and you can wrestle it out), rinsing then draining water out for 15 minutes or so, then either wrap in paper towel and seal in green plastic bag, or store core-side down in plastic bowl with tight fitting lid (be sure letutce sits above any accumulated water in bottom of bowl). I’ve also been able to store leaf letutces for a good 10 days: rinse and drain, wrap in paper towels and seal in green plastic bag. Helps if your refrigerator is very cold but doesn’t have freeze areas.
